Who we are

Ruwaza, Nairobi, Kenya ("Ruwaza", "we"), is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about your data at contact@ruwaza.co.ke.

What we collect

Contact and quote forms: your name, email, phone number, company, the details you give us about your project and any files you attach.

Job applications: your name, contact details, CV and cover letter.

Newsletter: your email address and language.

Technical data: which pages were visited and where visitors came from (campaign tags). Analytics run only if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry and prepare proposals; to consider job applications; to send the newsletter you asked for; and to improve the website. The legal basis is your consent, which you give on each form, and our legitimate interest in running the business.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and job applications only for as long as we need them: to respond to you, to prepare and deliver any project that follows, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that they are deleted. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Who we share it with

Service providers who help us run the website: hosting, email delivery (Brevo), file storage (Cloudinary), spam protection (Cloudflare) and, if you consent, analytics (Plausible). They process data on our instructions. We never sell personal data.

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us at contact@ruwaza.co.ke and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (www.odpc.go.ke).

Cookies

Essential cookies keep forms and security working. Analytics are optional and load only after you accept them; you can change your choice any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), access is limited to staff who need it, and uploaded files are stored privately.
